What makes Engage Long Island excited about Kim Keiserman?
The volunteers from Engage LI were coming off a very busy special election season and honestly weren't sure they wanted to commit to a primary and endorsement initially. However, it became clear that our members took the momentum of flipping Tom Suozzi's seat and wanted to hit the ground running and do more! When deciding to endorse a candidate, one name we kept hearing from various members across different demographics was Kim Keiserman.
Kim Keiserman is a known quantity in our group, as she was a featured speaker at our January 6th Defend Democracy rally, a leader in the Concerned Citizens of NY-03, who worked tirelessly to oust George Santos, her work with Moms Demand Action and her environmental work and more. Many of our members worked side by side with Kim locally and in Washington to oust George Santos. Other members have worked with her for reproductive rights, LGBTQ rights, environmental issues and sensible gun law reform and know the level of commitment and diligence she will bring to the New York Senate. She is well liked, respected, and accessible to our members. We believe that she will be the strongest advocate and fighter for SD 7, and our members are excited to put in the work to make sure Kim Keiserman is victorious.
