Washington, DC — Today, the Indivisible Project, a grassroots organization that has led the resistance against the Trump administration, joined with progressive partners in hosting more than 600 local events in support of impeaching Donald Trump. The #ImpeachmentEve events are in every state and in support of these events, Leah Greenberg and Ezra Levin, Co-Executive Directors of Indivisible, issued the following statement:
“For years, Indivisible activists have been organizing and pressuring their representatives to make sure Trump is held accountable for his corruption,” said Leah Greenberg, co-executive director of Indivisible. “The grassroots helped to build the Blue Wave that gave Democrats control of the House, which allowed them to fully investigate this administration and hold it accountable. And tomorrow, Congress will fulfil its solemn duty to protect our democracy through its impeachment vote.”
“Trump did it. He admitted to it. The House confirmed it. And now he’ll be impeached for it. Tonight, Indivisible members will show up at over 600 events in all 50 states under one unifying message: no one is above the law,” said Ezra Levin, co-executive director of Indivisible. “After tomorrow’s House vote, Indivisible will focus our grassroots power on ensuring Trump’s Senate allies don’t get away with a sham trial and conspiratorial cover up.”
