Methodology: In this latest web poll that was carried out from September 12 to 17, Indivisible received 11,112 responses from supporters in all 50 states plus the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands.
The poll was sent to Indivisible’s email list and the survey asked respondents the same three key questions from the June and July post debate Indivisible polls:
- Which candidates are you considering voting for?
- Which candidate are you NOT considering voting for?
- Who you would vote for if you had to pick today?
Respondents were asked to select as many candidates as they wanted in response to each question.

Net Support Results: Considering minus Not Considering
Net support is calculated by subtracting the percentage of respondents who are considering voting for a specific candidate by the percentage of respondents who are NOT considering voting for that candidate. Over 88% of respondents are considering more than one candidate, down 2% from July.
Four candidates have positive favorability with the movement: Senator Warren, Mayor Buttigieg, Senator Harris, and Senator Booker. In comparison to the July results, the most significant changes were notable increases in percentage points for O'Rourke and Klobuchar, and decreases for Harris, Biden, Sanders and Castro. All the candidates who were not on the debate stage lost support.
Candidates who are net positive:
- Elizabeth Warren: 75pp
- Pete Buttigieg: 37pp
- Kamala Harris: 20pp
- Cory Booker: 19pp
If the primary was held today, who would you vote for?
The question on vote choice yielded different results than the prior question on net support with regard to which candidates are in the lead. The top three candidates for this question were Senator Warren, Vice President Biden, and Senator Sanders -- the same order as the results from this question in the July survey.
- Warren: 46%
- Biden: 13%
- Sanders: 10%
- Buttigieg: 8%
- Harris: 6%
- Klobuchar: 4%
- Booker: 3%
- O’Rourke: 2%
- Yang: 1%
- Castro: 0%
